New Bars, Feels like new bike,.....

Bought the Sporty a new set of bars, Biltwell Zbars, she deserved them, been trusty as hell,..... and they feel great,.. feels like a new bike, amazing how just changing the bars can make a difference in feel and riding style

Another fuel line Split

"SO"........, Started today with the task of adjusting the drive belt, clean the rear wheel, after cleaning the rest yesterday, "BOOM" (could of ended that way, Ok bit dramatic), didn't work out that way, noticed a wet patch under the Sporty, fuel line from tank to Carb split, second one in two years, so an excuse to take the tank off and do another over due job, the coil/ignition switch bracket was rusting, ( yea on an 04, shite HD paint), new fuel line bought, €65 from MOCO No Fecking Way, €1.00 local tractor parts, bracket cleaned and painted refit tomorrow,...... a day don't always go to plan,.....

 

 

A ride out don't always turn out the way ya think it will

14° C here today, took the Sporty out for a run, after 30 miles stopped for a wee coffee, hey no hurry got all day only planning on another 60 miles anyway, got on the bike, “CLICK” Ah fuck flat battery, managed to get a push start, (2nd one in two weeks on different bikes) so half mile from home she cuts out no speedo no dash lights nuffin,.. lucky on a small brae (hill) so turned her and pushed her down and jumped she started, in the garage, looked like positive lead loose, took out battery cleaned terminals put back,... so while waiting to charge cracked a can of cider as you do,... and started to clean, then noticed the regulator connector had come apart, cleaned and refitted, by this time battery semi charged she started, just waiting till morning to see if charging, and another run...... ?

All in all a good day......., Ride out, Fun in the Garage, No major problems....... HOPE.
